Ownership & rights
Do I keep my rights and royalties?
Yes, completely. You own your book, your files and 100% of your royalties. We're a service you hire, not a publisher that takes a cut.
Is this a vanity press?
No. A vanity press takes your rights or a share of your earnings in exchange for publishing you. We take neither. You pay for professional services, and everything the book earns stays yours.
Who owns the ISBN?
You do, if we register it in your name, which is what we recommend and what we do by default.
Can I take my files elsewhere later?
Yes. Your source files are yours. No lock-in.
Money
What does it cost?
It depends on what your book needs. We don't sell fixed packages, because a 40,000-word memoir that needs a proofread and a cover is a different job from a 120,000-word novel needing a full developmental edit and audiobook. After we read your manuscript, you get an itemised quote covering exactly what's included.
Do I have to pay everything upfront?
No. We work in milestones. Each stage is quoted, delivered and approved before the next begins, so you're never paying for work you haven't seen.
How does milestone payment work?
Your quote breaks the project into stages. You pay for a stage, we deliver it, you approve it, then the next begins. You can stop between stages.
What if I'm not happy with the work?
Raise it during the stage it happens in. Revisions are built into each stage. Because you approve before moving on, problems get fixed rather than compounding.
Do you offer refunds?
Milestone payment is the protection. Completed and approved work isn't refundable, since it's custom. Work not yet started can be cancelled.
Process
Do you accept every manuscript?
No. We read every submission and take on only books we can genuinely serve. We publish across all genres including religious and academic. We decline explicit adult content and anything promoting hate, discrimination or indecency.
How long does it take?
Editing and design usually run four to ten weeks depending on length and scope. Distribution setup is faster. Marketing is ongoing rather than a fixed window. You get a realistic timeline with your quote.
Will you change my voice?
No. We strengthen structure, clarity and correctness. Your voice and your story stay yours, and you approve every stage.
How involved do I need to be?
More at the start, less later. Expect real involvement during editing and cover direction, then mostly approvals.
Can I use my own editor or designer?
Yes. We'll work with files you bring, as long as they meet retail specs.
What if my manuscript isn't finished?
Send what you have. Early guidance usually costs less than later corrections.
Marketing
Can you guarantee my book becomes a bestseller?
No, and nobody honestly can. We can build a listing that converts and campaigns that reach the right readers.
How long before marketing works?
Expect several weeks before campaign data is meaningful. Book marketing rewards consistency over intensity.
Can you market a book you didn't publish?
Yes.
After publishing
Where will my book be available?
We publish across all major platforms, including amazon. We can recommend best suited platform to your books.
Can you help if my book is already published?
Yes. Plenty of authors come to us after publishing, with a book that isn't selling. We can audit the listing, redo the cover if it's holding you back, fix the metadata and build a marketing plan.
Will you help with my next book?
Yes, and most of our authors come back.
Do you work with first-time authors?
Most of our authors are first-timers. You don't need to know anything about publishing. That's the point of hiring us.
